Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan participated in the opening of the department of rehabilitation center in the children’s polyclinic N 9 in the administrative district of Malatia Sebastia. The service was founded for timely revelation and interference of the children with autism, mental, physical, hearing and other disabilities and other diseases, as well as to ensure available rehabilitation services of high quality at the first circle of primary medical service. By the way, this is the first case when such services are rendered in polyclinic conditions.
The Mayor walked about the entirely repaired and equipped department, got acquainted with the conditions necessary for treatment. Congratulating the staff on the event of opening the repaired department Taron Margaryan stressed the importance of the department for the health care system of the capital.
"Those residents whose children have similar problems now have the second center which they can attend. We are ready to support you and we are always next to you. The overhauling of the children's polyclinic N 9 is also included in our programs", said Taron Margaryan.
The Mayor also noted that to integrate the children with the problems of development in the society it is planned to carry out reconstruction and repairing in the kindergarten N 78 in Malatia Sebastia, to provide training of specialists, to fill it with corresponding items and games. The children with special needs who are treated in the children's polyclinic N9 will attend the mentioned kindergarten.
The activity of the founded department and the children’s rehabilitation service will be carried out within the scope of the governmental work.
"It will give the opportunity to thousands of families for which this opportunity is not available to make use of the service free of charge", expressing gratitude to the Mayor for support said the director of Arabkir medical service Ara Babloyan.
Taron Margaryan also visited the clinic center «Armenikum», walked about the departments, got acquainted with the facilities. Referring to the improvement of the surrounding area Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that a corresponding decision will be made concerning it. "We are ready to assist, we will also give a dendro project amd other things necessary for equipment, besides the area should serve not only to ensure the recreation of the visitors of the center but also of the residents of the nearby buildings", said the Mayor.
