Within the framework of the official visit to the NKR Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan also visited the motorized-shooting unit after Vazgen Sargsyan of the NKR Defence Army, had a meeting with fixed-period military servants from Yerevan.
At the solemn ceremony held on the event of the Mayor's visit to the unit, turning to the military servants from Yerevan Taron Margaryan also said the defending the homeland borders hundreds of kilometers far from native home is a very responsible and important mission. And this mission bears far more responsibility when a soldier does his best with his deserving behavior to keep the honour of his birthplace high.
"Dear soldiers, I am really proud of you. I feel proud for having such a generation which is always ready to keep the borders of homeland and honour of native hearth. It's natural, that being in Stepanakert I felt obliged to visit you. Seeing your parents off to have a visit with you on the event of the Armenian Army Day I also promised them to visit you when visiting Artsakh. So, as you see, here I am with you, side by side with you and I assure you that my other promise, that the Municipality of Yerevan will organize several visits a year for your parents to meet you will also be kept, you will make sure yourselves", said Taron Margaryan stressing that the Municipality of Yerevan is always next to the families of military servants and supports them within its powers.
The military servants in their turn thanked the Mayor both for the surprise visit of parents and for this visit of the Mayor and his warm words. They also assured that they will do their best to keep the honour of Yerevan high.
