After the announcement of the preliminary official results for the RA presidential elections, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin made a telephone call to President Serzh Sargsyan. During the conversation, he congratulated Serzh Sargsyan on his convincing victory and wished success. He also wished peace, stability and prosperity to Armenia and the friendly Armenian people.

The President of the Russian Federation expressed confidence that under the leadership of the newly elected President Serzh Sargsyan, the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership and bilateral relations, which deepen and strengthen by year, will continue to develop in the same spirit for the benefit of the states and two nations.
