On February 12 the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan met with the students of the Faculty of International Relations of Yerevan State University.

The Committee Chairman presented to the University students the functions of the Parliament, the NA Standing Committees on Foreign Relations and European Integration, touched upon the Armenian deputies’ work in the international parliamentary organizations. Artak Zakaryan has noted that the parliamentary diplomacy gives a wide opportunity for presenting views, expressing stances, creating objective picture about the country and shaping opinions in international structures.

The Committee Chairman also answered the students’ questions, which mainly referred to the foreign policy of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh problem.

At the end of the meeting Artak Zakaryan wished the future diplomats success in education, urging them to be purposeful and consistent and contribute to the development of the Motherland with the aid of their knowledge.
