A book is out entitled “Sayat-Nova -300.” A fiction movie has been made devoted to the prominent Armenian composer, which will be presented to the public in 2013. Underway are the preparations for “Sayat-Nova” musical.
It was also informed that the Sayat-Nova 300th anniversary is included in the 2012-2013 UNESCO calendar of famous people and important events.
Those in attendance came up with numerous proposals regarding the anniversary celebrations. Some of them suggested translating Sayat Nova-related literature into as many as possible foreign languages in order to introduce the composer to the international community.
The Premier welcomed the idea: “It is important for us to raise awareness about Sayat-Nova abroad. We should introduce the great composer through English and in Russian materials. In general, we should be able to promote our artistic, literary and cultural heritage,” he said.
