 The message reads in part:

“Dear Mr. Vice President,

On behalf of the Government of Armenia, I express my deepest condolences on the terrible tragedy that hit the state of Connecticut a few days ago.

We deeply grieve with the American people, share in your sorrow and pray to God for the souls of the innocent victims. Please convey our sympathy and words of regret to the families and relatives of the victims".

The tragic events which took place in the U.S. state of Connecticut left 26 people dead, mostly children. Four-day mourning is declared throughout the United States.
