On December 12, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with Governor of the U.S. state of Massachusetts Deval Patrick.

On behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan, the Prime Minister handed Mkhitar Gosh medal to the Governor and thanked the Governor for assistance in the construction of a monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Deval Patrick asked Tigran Sargsyan to forward his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Armenia for the medal. The parties went on to discuss cooperation prospects. The Governor appreciated the role played by the Armenian community in the public life of his state.

After the meeting, Tigran Sargsyan visited the Armenian Heritage Square in Boston and laid flowers at the monument perpetuating the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
