 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the leader of the Armenian Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation of Europe Andrey Sorokin.
Greeting the guest the Mayor introduced the perspectives of the capital’s development and the programs of reforms directed at the improvement of urban economy management pointing out successful examples of cooperation in this sphere between the Municipality of Yerevan and international organizations.
"During these years of cooperation due to the OSCE support different joint programs have been implemented in the sphere of urban economy including international consulting services. I am sure that our cooperation will be long-lasting and we’ll be able to realize new projects”, said Taron Margaryan.
The leader of the Armenian Office of the OSCE in his turn said that they are ready to discuss and realize the programs of bilateral interest jointly with the Municipality, then stressed the mission of the organization - to secure peace and safety, to keep the principles of democracy including pre-election and election processes.
Congratulation the Mayor on the 1st anniversary of his office Andrey Sorokin wished him success in his important and responsible work.
Expressing gratitude for warm regards Taron Margaryan re-stated the position of the Municipality regarding willingness to cooperate and to expand the frames of cooperation.
The parties also discussed other issues related to experience exchange, providing consulting services and further cooperation.
