The process of installing heating systems in the schools without heating or partial heating has been mainly finished.
During the regular working conference chaired by the Deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan it was reported that to carry out repairing activities within the framework of winter preparations in secondary schools, kindergartens and health care establishments the existing problems had been inventories and corresponding activities were going on.
Winter preparations are also going on regarding salt and sand storage, purchasing necessary equipment, putting machinery into order and formation of operative groups on contractual basis.
The head of Transport Department reported that holding competitions for regular intra-urban bus routes is still going on. Simultaneously, the population is being informed about the numbers of the changed routes. Everyday control is going on over the quality improvement of public transport including proper sanitary condition, parking vehicles in prohibited places, purposeful using of bus stop belts. Because of improper service of passenger at evening hours and of breaking the fixed timetables the organizations servicing 8 routes were subjected to administrative penalties the previous week. In this regard Kamo Areyan conveying the instruction of the Mayor said that the control is to be strengthened and servicing at evening hours is to be kept at everyday focus.
It was also instructed to the companies servicing the routes to provide winter tyres of rolling stocks in possibly short time
Due to joint efforts of the Transport Department, Road Police, SNCO "Lusanshan" and «Achilles» NGO a working group has been formed which has inventories all the streets and crossroads in capital where there are problems with road signs. The activities are being carried out to eliminate these defects.
Within the frames of road construction programs the work is going on in vertical express highway connecting Lenigradyan street with Isakov avenue and the construction of the new motor road leading from Ulnetsi street to Rubinyants street.
"Close attention is to be paid to the quality of reconstruction in the bridge segment of Rubinyants-Ulnetsi street and technical standards are to be kept", said Kamo Areyan conveying the Mayor’s directives.
Within the framework of protective and preventive measures in the segments where there is a danger of stone falling after carrying out activities in the segment of road of 800 linear meters length the damaged asphalt cover of the mentioned segment has been restored. Works are going in the direction of strengthening and raising the headwalls.
The areas in Yerevan which are used not purposefully have been studied and inventories. A proposal has been submitted regarding changing the functional significance of these areas and concordance of their factual using.
It was instructed to strengthen the control over the process of purchasing by corresponding structures of the Municipality of Yerevan.
The head of Nature Protection Department reported that the process of sanitary pruning of dry and damaged trees and their decoration is still going on. It was instructed to do on tree planting in the capital as long as the weather is favourable.
