Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the cycle track in Yerevan, got acquainted with the conditions of the sports structure and its activity. The director of the cycle track presented the Mayor the rooms and the track provided for trainings and furnished with corresponding sports equipment.Stressing the importance of the sport school in the process of making the sport life of the capital more active Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to arrange the educational and sport process more efficiently and be more active in managing the structure.In particular, the Mayor proposed to be more initiative in managing the facilities of the sports structure in parallel with the cycling development and to consider the cycling track as a special sports and culture center and hold both sports tournaments and competitions and cultural events there.The cycle track satisfies international standards and has all the preconditions for holding various events. It also has benches provided for 3200 spectators.By the way, to ensure security of the track's visitors a new overg-round pedestrian crossing has been put into operation adjacent to the track within this year’s programs of building and improvement of the Municipality of Yerevan.
