 During the regular working conference Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan noted referring to the complaints raised by the residents regarding the fees collected for car parking in the capital that a working group had been created which inventory and study all the contracts regarding car parking sites so as to find out if the mentioned activity is carried out only in the sites provided for it."Today especially in the administrative district of Kentron the situation is out of control. Hardly has the car stops the fee is demanded. As the results of the survey show illegal fees are often collected from the residents. The working group has been carrying out the corresponding activities for only 2 or 3 days and the number of fee collectors has decreased by about 80 %. Our aim is to let our residents park their cars and go into a shop or a cafe or wherever they want without trouble. Nobody has a right to collect money for parking where they want", stressed the Mayor and instructed the staff to carry out consistent work and to reveal illegal fee collectors and to take measures established by law together with the Road Police and the Yerevan Department of Police towards imposing the violators to responsibility up to subjecting to criminal responsibility for illegal money collection. In this regard Taron Margaryan instructed the head of Transport Department to work our together with the Road Police a map of sites provided for parking and to sign new contracts on its ground.Referring to the applications and complaints addressed to the Department of Social Welfare of the Municipality of Yerevan and to the social divisions of the administrative districts Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to study the complaints and take clear measures to take action on them. "The complaints raised especially by the residents from needy families must not be left without respond. This is a clear requirement which should be followed by all social services", stressed the Mayor and urged to be strict and consistent in this issue.The Mayor was reported that everyday control is going on over the quality of public transport services. Besides, the competitions for intra-urban regular bus and minibus transportation itinerary are in process. Regarding the process of repairing the porches of blocks of flats by the team program of the Municipality, the administrative districts and the condominiums the head of Communal Economy Department reported that 875 porches had already been repaired. It was also reported that to provide the quality inspections are carried out and the revealed violations are eliminated on spot. In accordance with the fixed schedule, repairing and re-operation of drinking water fountains in the central streets, parks and gardens of the capital are going on. By the instruction of Mayor Taron Margaryan drinking water fountains in yard areas were included in the program as well.Within the framework of the 2012 program of Yerevan outward look improvement about sixty arch passages had already been improved and decorated. By the instruction of Mayor Taron Margaryan within additional program other arch passages of the capital which are not decorated will be improved and decorated as well and the program will be completed with it. It was reported that the activities directed at night lighting providing in the parks and gardens of the capital which are implemented jointly with the entities leasing the areas, at the final stage.Referring to prohibition and prevention of open-air illegal trade as well as to dismantling of illegal constructions and prevention of land occupation process, Mayor Taron Margaryan assigned the corresponding structures to go on the process consistently.It was reported that the process of cleaning of advertisements stuck on the walls of the blocks of flats, on columns and in the places of public significance is going on in 12 administrative districts of the capital. By the instruction of the Mayor special signboards for advertisements are to be placed in appropriate sites. Weekly clean-ups are going on in all the administrative districts within the framework of which sanitary cleaning of yard areas and their surroundings is carried out.
