By the program of the Yerevan Municipality for 2012 asphalting activities keep going on at full swing in the streets and yard areas of the capital. The area of around 700000 sq m has already been asphalted. The issues related to this program and to other current programs were discussed during the regular working conference.
By the instruction of the Mayor of Yerevan the contractors have already started to eliminate by their own means the defects in asphalt-concrete cover made during asphalting activities in 2011. In this context mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the heads of the administrative districts to set everyday control over the process and the quality of performance.In accordance with the schedule determined for road construction programs, the building of the new by-pass motorway leading from Ulnetsi street to Rubinyats street, as well as the highway connecting Leningradyan street and Isakov avenue is going on. Tsarav Aghbyur street connecting the administrative district of Kanaker-Zeitun to Avan district has already been put in commission. Repairing activities has been started in the pre-schooling educational establishments of the capital particularly regarding the roofs and lavatories. The heating programs provided for libraries and health care establishments are in process as well.Regarding the green areas and lawns in the capital it was reported that to compare with the previous year the quantity of flowers given to administrative districts, secondary schools, pre-schooling educational establishments has been tripled.
According to the program, the areas adjacent to Yerevan entries are being flowered and landscaped as well. It was instructed to inventory not working fountains and to submit financial estimates for their restoration and the investment proposal with the aim for their re-operation. Mayor Taron Margaryan set a consistent requirement regarding preservation, caring increase and improvement of the green belts of the capital, stressing especially provision of performance of contractual obligations by economy entities.
It was instructed to repudiate the leasing contracts with those entities which won’t meet their contractual obligations.The Department of Culture and Tourism has been assigned to submit proposals on organization of cultural and sport events in the gardens and parks of the capital at weekends. All the responsible structures were instructed once again to ensure the security of school-leavers in accordance with the established order during the events to be held on May 25, on occasion of the Last Bell.
Regarding prohibition of sale of flammable and explosive stuffs it was reported that an appropriate inventory had been carried out and by the time the corresponding regulation is made sale of flammable and explosive stuffs is prohibited. In case of violations corresponding records are drawn up. Regarding the International Day of Children’s Defense Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to organize celebrations in the Zoological garden and in "Haghtanak" park. Festival actions are to be held in all the administrative districts as well.
