Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan sent a message of congratulations to Dmitry Medvedev in connection with his appointment as Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. The message reads as follows:

“Dear Dmitry Anatolevich,

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and myself, I offer heartfelt congratulations on your assumption of Head of Government.

Your appointment to this responsible position is an undeniable evidence of your significant contribution to the development of your country’s economy, strengthening of national security and enhancement of its international prestige. I am confident that your long experience in statesmanship will be the key to successful completion of all the endeavors of the Government of the Russian Federation and, in particular, in the implementation of strategic programs aimed at ensuring sustainable economic growth and modernization.

I would also like to sincerely congratulate all Russians on the Victory Day of May 9. The feat of our peoples in the fight against fascism is an eternal value to us and will always be perceived as an example of true courage and high morale.

Taking this opportunity, I express readiness to continue with the efforts aimed at improving the strategic partnership between our two countries, deepening economic cooperation and pushing ahead with integration processes in the post-Soviet area.”
