President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano on April 19.

According to the President's press office, welcoming the guest, President Sargsyan stressed, that atomic energy has a vital importance for Armenia and the relationship with the International Atomic Energy Agency is very important for our country as it is considered to be an important element of the energy and nuclear safety of Armenia.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency mentioned that IAEA and Armenia have common aim that is the continuous strengthening of security measures of Armenia's working station and the close cooperation upon the constructing the new plant.
