The previous session was also postponed as the witnesses to the case didn’t appear in court

The today’s session of the Common Law Court of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan, which was chaired by Vahe Misakian, related to the case against the Third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and others was postponed again. The reason was the absence of the witness Sevan Kocharian whose testimony became the base for legal proceedings.
The previous session was also postponed as the witnesses to the case didn’t appear in court. By the court’s decision, one of them was supposed to be summoned to the court by the Police but the court decision was not implemented.
Today, the judge announced that the Police would be ordered once again to summon the witness Sevan Kocharian for the next session of the court.
Another witness informed the court that conditioned by personal reasons he was out of the country at this time and could not be present at the court hearing.
According to lawyer Amram Makinian, the witness does not appear at the court since the moment he speaks it will be clear for everyone the case was fabricated.
The Third President of Armenia and his lawyers have stated on many occasions that this is nothing but political prosecution carried out based on false accusations.
Earlier, Mr. Makinian said that during each court hearing the public would be informed on the shocking facts about political persecution carried out against Mr. Serzh Sargsyan and it would be revealed step by step that this was a false, fabricated criminal case.
