President Serzh Sargsyan visited today Alex Textile Company. President Sargsyan accompanied by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan, management of Alex Textile and guests, toured the production units of the company, familiarized with the investments, expansion of production capabilities, works aimed at the equipment the units with modern facilities, export volumes and company’s development programs.

Alex Textile, which started its operations in 2015 and manufactures socks and clothing, as a leading Armenian company in the area of light industry, at the moment employs 500 workers. According to the management, as a result of the increased production the number of jobs will reach 2000. The President of Armenia was informed that in 2017 the Company has already created nearly 300 jobs for the works in the new sewing unit. This year, the Company plans to start the production of fabric, textile, and home textile which will allow to create additional 600 jobs.
