PRESIDENT RECEIVED THE ITALIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN RELATIONS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Minister of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation of Italy Paolo Gentiloni who has arrived to Armenia on official visit.

Welcoming the high guest to our country, the President of Armenia noted with satisfaction that the centuries-long Armenian-Italian relations are full of manifestations of friendship and based on that in twenty-five years of the Armenian independence the interstate relations have been developing upward. Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that the visit of Minister Gentiloni will give a new impetus to the Armenian-Italian political dialogue and will promote the deepening of the existing cooperation in different areas. The parties discussed issues related to the enhancement of the bilateral economic ties.

The President of Armenia and Minister of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation of Italy exchanged views on the regional issues, problems, and challenges, including the NK peace process and issues related to the priorities of Italy’s chairmanship in the OSCE in 2018.
