President Serzh Sargsyan received today Microsoft Vice-President Vahe Torossian.

The interlocutors discussed issues pertaining to the development pace of information technology (IT) in Armenia and its prospects, in that process attaching great importance to Microsoft’s activities in our country and to the programs and new initiatives implemented by the company since 2006. President Serzh Sargsyan thanked Microsoft and our compatriot Vahe Torossian in person for his contribution to the development of the IT sphere in Armenia and for his active and keen involvement in the opening of both the company’s office in Yerevan and Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia.

Microsoft’s vice-president expressed satisfaction with the growth dynamics of the IT sphere in Armenia in recent years and said that the progress is impressive, which, according to him, opens up opportunities for the implementation of new initiatives.

The RA president and Microsoft’s vice-president attached importance to the training of competitive IT specialists especially through qualified youth education and to the development of their work skills.
