PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSYAN ATTENDED THE OPENING OF “SLAV MED” MEDICAL CENTER AND “YEREVAN MALL” COMPLEX

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of “Slav Med” Medical Center in Arabkir Administrative District. The President toured the medical center built in compliance with modern requirements and saturated with new generation medical equipment, familiarized with the works carried out, the quality of medical services offered to the community, and spoke with the medical personnel and the leadership of medical center about the current and upcoming development programs of “Slav Med.”
In this medical center the President was informed that the foundation works of “Slav Med” started in 2012 replacing the previously privatized and ill-equipped subsidiary building of “Exact Equipment” factory and that a comprehensive reconstruction (around 3600 sq. meters of total and 1500 sq. meters of auxiliary space) of the subsidiary building was implemented. As a result, a contemporary medical center saturated with modern operating rooms and comfortable wards was founded where a list of departments, as well as laboratory and diagnostic services operate. The staff in charge assured that the total investments comprise about 5 billion Armenian drams. Today, “Slav Med” employs 180 people whose number will increase in parallel with the development programs of the center.
Today, Serzh Sargsyan also attended the opening ceremony of “Yerevan Mall” multifunctional complex in Shengavit administrative district. The construction works of the two-floor complex started in 2010. The complex occupies a total area of 59900 sq. meters and is built using peculiar architectural solutions. Numerous world-famous brands are represented in around 150 stores of “Yerevan Mall” trade and entertainment center. In addition, around 10000 sq. meters of the center space built in conformity with the standards and quality requirements of that well-known trade network, is appropriated for famous “Carrefour” hypermarket. The opening of “Carrefour” will take place in the third quarter of this year. According to the staff in charge, “Yerevan Mall” is able to employ about 2000 employees.
