On the second day of the pre-election campaign in Syunik presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan touched upon the social policy of the country, as well problems facing the country and their solutions. He mentioned that he was not going to speak only on the positive phenomena during the pre-election campaign avoiding difficulties and problems. “I have always been an honest person during these years. Poverty is still one of the most serious problems of our society. It is impossible to eliminate it by means of family or poverty benefits, charitable events. We must eliminate the causes of poverty,” said Serzh Sargsyan underlining that only people who were not able to work should receive a pension and benefit.
“In parallel with constant development we must do everything to guarantee social justice for each citizen of our country. It is very important for people to be sure not only of their present, but also future,” said Serzh Sargsyan to the voters in Agarak. He introduced some latest amendments of the pension system and the coming programs to change the system completely.
The presidential candidate introduced to the voters in Meghri the most important programs for the region, as well as for Armenia: North-South corridor highway and Armenia-Iran railway construction works. He spoke on the relations as well as developing cooperation with Iran.
Serzh Sargsyan especially attached importance to the environmental problems in Qajaran underlining the current policy of our country in that sphere.
At the meeting in Kapan the presidential candidate introduced the coming programs on economic development.
“We are a winner country. Our domestic policy which aims at strengthening democracy and rule of law in our country, has essentially improved our national image. Our positions on foreign policy are in peace and harmony with the positions of international organizations,” said the presidential candidate calling on the people to vote as their conscience tells. According to him the authorities formulated as a result of the elections would be worthy of our nation.
