On November 27 by holding the referendum of the constitutional amendments our country and society entered a qualitative new stage of development, which creates great opportunities for the fulfillment of radical democratic reforms in compliance with European standards. Their results gradually will be significant for citizens.

These years will be extremely important for the enhancement, moreover, development of the acquisitions achieved with great efforts. I believe, this should be everybody's priority.

RPA STATEMENT ON THE MEMORIAL GENOCIDE DAY

Armenians spread all over the world, yet another time remember the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Being the successors of our early 20th century tragedy, we state the main message of the year 1915: to masters of our fatherland, which is the will of the victims and guidance for the survivors.

STATEMENT ON THE PROPOSAL OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT CONCERNING THE 2003 RA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS RESULTS (17.04.2003)

Prior to RA Government session, Prime Minister Andranik Markarian referred to the ruling of the Constitutional Court on the appeal of S. Demirchian to deem the election results null and void, and voiced the stance of the RPA on the statements and proposals contained in the ruling.

Dear Compatriots,
We all expect that after February 19 this country will continue to lead its habitual every-day life, the commotion of the pre-election and election period will be over, and together we will overcome yet another phase of trials and tribulations for this country. The election results attest to the need for the run-off. It is very important that after the first election phase, which passed without serious destabilization, we manage to preserve reasonability and create conditions for legitimate conduct of the run-off.
