Born on May 20, 1959 in the city of Kirovakan.

1976 – Graduated with honors from the Construction technical school after P. Melkonyan.
1984 – Graduated from the Department of Construction of Kirovakan Branch of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.
1984-1990 – “Gyughshin” Trust, foreman, later - head of the construction site.
1990-1991 – “Spitakshin” Trust, head of the construction department.
1991-1996 –Gugark Roads Construction Company N 2, Head.
1996-1999 – Lori Road Construction and Maintenance Company, Executive Director.
1999- Elected Mayor of Vanadzor.
2002, 2005, 2008 – Re-elected Mayor of Vanadzor.
Member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
Chairman of RPA Vanadzor territorial organization.
Awarded the RA Presidential Award, Anania Shirakatsi Medal, Commemorative Medal by the RA Prime-Minister, Commemorative Medal of the Union of Communities օf Armenia, Nominal Weapon by the RA Prime Minister, Medal of Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Vazgen I.
